Donating
Each year we donate our collected handmade blankets to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Saint Peter's University Hospital. The Neonatal Intenstive Care Unit provides care to newborns and infants that have medical problems. These blankets are used to cover the incubators (an enclosed apparatus providing a controlled environment for the care and protection of premature or unusually small babies) that the babies are put in. The blankets are put on the incubators as a sense of comfort to the babies and to hide the medical machines. After the babies are treated, the families take the homemade blankets home for their baby.
